i met up with a friend tonight at good ol' timmie's and caught up on the past couple months of life over a hazelnut cappuccino and dutchie. sometimes you don't realize how much you've been through until you take some time to stand still and look back. truth is, life can change in the blink of an eye, and so much has changed...
i remember being in high school and dreaming of becoming a film composer. i aspired to join the ranks of john williams and howard shore – writing for orchestras and chamber groups...
fast forward to now. though music is still extremely important to me, design is also a part of who i am and want to be. i think setting goals is an important part of growth, but being open-minded is also equally important, for it's often too easy to overlook the bigger picture when you're so focused on a small fraction of it.
if you were to have asked me if i knew i'd be back in school now studying graphic design even a year ago, i would have thought you were crazy. i guess that just goes to show that life is unpredictable, and that's what makes it exciting. that and i think god has an incredible sense of humor sometimes :P
